A NEW CONTRACT AT
MOUCHEL PARKMAN
|
Blue Apple is delighted to announce a new, two-year
contract with Mouchel Parkman in Welwyn
Garden City, previously held by Aramark.
The offices in Welwyn are home to approximately
300 office staff, engineers and surveyors
who work for Mouchel, Amey Lafarge and
Hertfordshire County Council. This group
forms a unique public and private sector
partnership that is responsible for the
maintenance and general enhancement of
the highways in Hertfordshire. One thousand
staff work in a fully integrated organisation
with shared aims and business objectives.
Commencing 1st October, we welcome
three new team members and look forward
to a mutually rewarding relationship
with Mouchel in the coming months.

PM TRUST
|
Following the Acorn Summer Ball at the Dorchester,
which both Blue Apple clients and staff
attended, £4,500 was raised for the PM
Trust. The PM Trust is a charity that
awards grants to assist young people in
London who are training to be chefs.
Ruston is one of the founding trustees
of the charity along with Brian Turner,
Robyn Jones, CEO of Charlton House and
Bob Cotton, BHA Chief Executive.
Ruston recently attended a luncheon
hosted by Brian Turner at The Millennium
Mayfair Hotel, who accepted a cheque
on behalf of the Trust from Acorn Club
chairman, Holly Addison.

OLYMPIANS RETURN
|
Brian and Ruston welcomed back Gail Emms and
Nathan Robertson, Team GB's Olympic Silver
medallists in the mixed doubles badminton.
Blue Apple provided food and drink at
a celebration reception to mark the event
at the National Badminton Centre in Milton
Keynes. Local M.P. Dr Phyllis Starkey,
the Mayor of Milton Keynes and other dignitaries
attended the event along with over 150
supporters, friends and family.
Working with our nutritionist at the National
Badminton Centre, where Blue Apple caters
for the English Badminton Squad, we
have recently launched a scheme to incorporate
calorie, carbohydrate and Weight Watchers
point counting on our menus, in order
to aid those diet conscious customers
to control their food intake as well
as the money in their pockets. Working
closely with the team's nutritionist,
we ensure that the team members follow
a healthy eating programme that complements
their training regime. By providing
a healthy diet to the Badminton team,
Blue Apple would like to think that
in a small way we have contributed to
the team's success in Athens.
