We’ve always been dedicated to providing fresh, good quality food, but now we’re stepping up the Blue Apple offering by introducing a number of measures in support of healthy eating.

Our ‘balance’ campaign will bring together the very best ingredients, the latest health nutrition and the flair of our chefs to create delicious food that tastes fantastic and is good for you. We are committed to making it easy for you to choose a healthier way of eating, to help you achieve balance and total wellness from the inside.

Throughout the year, we’ll be focusing on different aspects of healthy eating – from ‘5 a day’ fruit and veg to low cholesterol or from brain food to low fat – we’ll be offering you a choice of products and dishes that are as good for your health and well-being as they are for your taste buds.

All things relating to our healthy eating campaign will be highlighted with the ‘balance’ symbol - this will make choosing the healthy items that much easier.

However, the key to our ‘balance’ campaign is that we’ve done the hard work for you, so you don’t have to worry about choosing a balanced meal. You can lighten up, relax and have a little of what you fancy... yes, we realise that might include a few chips or chocolate every now and then!

Blue Apple Promise

As part of our commitment to using ingredients in our food preparation and cooking that offer the highest quality and nutritional value, we have introduced the following as standard in all Blue Apple kitchens.

Rock Salt – pure and uncontaminated (unlike table salt)
Health Benefit – vital for many functions of the body, including blood pressure, sleep and libido!

Unsalted Butter
Health Benefit – too much salt in the diet can lead to high blood pressure

Light Spread – contains plant-sourced Omega 3 and 6
Health Benefit – helps keep your heart and brain healthy

Light Mayonnaise – low in fat
Health Benefit – can protect against heart disease and cancer

Low Sugar and Salt Baked Beans
Health Benefit – helps regulate blood pressure and blood sugar levels, minimising the risk of diabetes and mood swings

Olive Oil – high in monounsaturated fat and antioxidants, contains no cholesterol (we use it in our dressings and for shallow frying)
