REDUCE THE PRESSURE
High blood pressure (hypertension) is dangerous because it makes the heart work too hard.
Increase intake of fruit, veg and whole grains
Reduce intake of saturated fats (meat, cheese, cakes, biscuits, chips, etc.)
Reduce intake of salt and sodium
Drink alcohol in moderation (units / wk women = 7, men=14)
Lose weight (losing just 10lbs will have a positive impact)
Exercise regularly (30 minutes of moderate-level physical activity on most days of the week)
